Here comes the Hunter Valley bride ……

I just finished a gorgeous website for Hunter Valley Wedding Planner, Priscilla Moore, called Priscilla’s Events!!

This one was a breeze, someone else had created some some simply spectacular artwork, so we threw our marketing magic at this artwork and put together the site plus a little extra SEO for good measure. As far as Hunter Valley Wedding Planners go, Priscilla’s fantastic. Great attention to detail, knows all kinds of little secrets and tid-bits you’d never find out on your own. Well worth the look ladies :)

If you need help with a party or a corporate do, she’s multi-talented ;)

Ooops, front page in Google for Water Bottles again

This one I didn’t even mean! www.stainless-steel-water-bottles.com.au made it on to the front page of Google without me doing anything. Originally just an install of Word Press to have a fiddle with a paid template I bought (that I was having trouble with). Now if you type in Stainless Steel Water Bottles or even Stainless Steel Water Bottle, up it pops. I wasn’t planning on ever using this domain name. The Google gods have spoken, guess I’ll have to develop the content now, do some research, write some articles and turn this into a useful information portal about water bottles. God knows I have spent hundreds of hours researching and testing the bloody things. Perhaps I’ll save a few people some time!!

Who needs sleep! Who needs a water bottle??

All hail the Stainless Steel Water Bottle Queen

Yours truly now has the top FOUR spots in Google for Stainless Steel Water Bottles. All hail the queen! But seriously, I’ve put a huge amount of work in to SEO for my websites, and my clients will reap the rewards when I turn the same success on to their websites.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, I now have the largest Stainless Steel Water Bottle collection online in Australia. There’s so many, we’ve had to split them in to different categories. If you’re in the market for a safe stainless steel drink bottle, check out the different categories to help make life easier :)

If you’re after a bottle for your handbag, go the 400-600ml size. For the kids, the 350ml drink bottles are good. Sporty types, hikers etc should choose from the 600-800ml or even the 1 litre + size, and if you’re going to let your stainless steel drink bottle roll around in a hot car all day or chuck it in your beach bag, choose an insulated hydration bottle. The Thermos range of insulated water bottles are fantastic.

Water Bottles vs Drink Bottles

In my latest SEO experiment, I’m trying to discover whether the average person types in ‘stainless steel water bottles‘ or ‘stainless steel drink bottles‘ in to Google to find my huge collection of stainless steel water bottles for sale.

So far, stainless steel water bottles seems to be the winner, but that may have something to do with the fact that I have the top spot in Google now (and 5 spots on the front page). I have 2 of the top 10 spots for drink bottles, but, alas, they’re further down the page and getting bugger all traffic. The further you get the bottom of the front page of Google, the less amount of traffic there is.

It doesn’t cease to amaze me how the large majority of people don’t scroll down to the bottom of the front page. For anyone relying on organic SEO results to keep their busines afloat, if you’re not at the very top of the page, you’re done for. Better get the cheque book out and put some serious dollars in to a paid ad campaign or pay a decent SEO professional a couple of thousand dollars to go through your site for you.

The guys from Cheeki Stainless Steel Water Bottles not only sell great products, but have managed to get some pretty decent search engine rankings for their drink bottles at the same time.

Stainless Steel Water Bottles new site

Just having a play with a new Word Press theme over at www.stainless-steel-water-bottles.com.au. It’s a fancy shmancy theme I actually purchased and I’m having a play with so I can use it for some clients. It’s a Studio Press theme, haven’t used one of these yet.

Bargain Womens Fashion – Online Shopping

Woohoo, my favourite online fashion website just set up a little mini magazine showing new fashion trends for those like me who are too lazy or unimaginative to look at clothes on a dummy and picture what accessories will look good with it.

Check out Bargain Women’s Fashion, Online Shopping with Freez and I Want A Bargain. I’m a total clothes junkie and I’m always ordering stuff online from Freez. Just love the MINKPINK and Ladakh labels.

If you’ve ever been worried about buying clothes online, there’s a great exchange/return policy on these sites, and they’re super quick and friendly and profesional (oh, and did I mention they’re a client!).

But seriously, great clothes. I was their first online customer, and I won’t be their last!!

Central Coast Web Design search results

After spending considerable time at the #1 position for Central Coast Web Design, Net Percpetions rankings have slipped in Google. The frustrating thing about search engines, and Google in particular, is that they keep changing the game, and it’s a continuous chase to keep up with what’s going on.

I have just started an experiment. The search phrase we really want #1 spot for is Central Coast Web Design, as it’s the area where we want to grow our business the most.  Luckily, we own the domain name www.centralcoastwebdesign.com.au, so I have created a small one page website hosted on a different server to see if I can help boost our Google rankings.

More research, monitoring of search engine results and back-end statistics will give me some information on how Google’s latest changes are working. Search Engine Optimisation is tiring work!

I got me a new car

After driving James’ Toyota Hilux around for weeks (it seriously feels like driving a truck), I finally got myself the car I want again. I am now the proud owner of a 2006 Toyota Corolla Hatch with only 19,000km on the clock. Big thanks to the best mechanic on the Central Coast who gave me some great advice on different brands and models of cars. Thanks Chris!

If you’re up the north end of the Central Coast and you need a good mechanic, give Headway Auto Repairs at Charmhaven a call. Yes, they’re a client, but seriously, we went through 3 mechanics before we met Chris. He’s one of those rare mechanics that doesn’t have grease from one end of the workshop and reception to the other and your car doesn’t smell like crap when you get it back. He also specialises in Vintage Car Repairs and Restoration if you’re that way inclined.

Completed Web Design Project – Feet First Dive Nelson Bay

Feet First Dive Nelson Bay recently hired Net Perceptions to redesign their website. Our brief was to give the web site a clean professional image make-over and boost the search engine rankings. With a great logo and a set of fantastic photos to work with, the artwork was a breeze.

Much of the copywriting on the existing website was condensed and re-written for ultimate search engine optimisation along with a few other key factors that were absent in the old website. Over coming weeks, time will tell how successful we have been. With little competition in the online market, I can see this client rocketing up the Google rankings in no time.

Shane from Feet First Dive was a pure delight to work with. If you live in Newcastle, Port Stephens, or heading to the bay for a holiday and you want to go diving with someone who knows his stuff and will make your experience enjoyable, Shane’s the man. You can take ‘full on’ diving courses like James has done in the past, or if you’re ‘chicken shit’ like me, go snorkelling! Even if you’re nowhere near Nelson Bay and love the ocean, go check out the website, there’s a great photo gallery on there.
